North Lincolnshire Council is undertaking a soft market testing exercise to understand the technical specifications and operational capabilities of 360 degree camera systems (or all-round vision or on-vehicle CCTV) for installation on to its refuse collection vehicles (RCV). As part of this process it is interested in entering into dialogue with market specialists to explore, but not be limited to: — The technical specification for the hardware. — The installation procedure. — The operational capabilities. — How the recorded images can be accessed and copied. — Maintenance regimes and future upgrade flexibility. — Industry standard protocols and safe methods of work. The process will provide external perspectives, advice and challenge to enable the council to better understand and assess relevant market interest. Interested organisations should be aware that this is not part of any procurement exercise. Interested parties can respond by completing a brief 'Request for Information' document available to download via YORtender. It is anticipated that the initial soft market testing exercise will conclude with a final report, prepared by the council. Any interviews will be held week commencing 8.12.2014. The council reserves the right to select individual organisations for interview and participation in this process will not guarantee any inclusion in potential future procurement processes.
