Scarborough Borough Council, Ryedale District Council and Selby District Councils are partnered within a North Yorkshire Procurement Partnership. All 3 councils currently fund adaptations works via disabled facilities grants, including the installation of showers and ramps. Scope: The proposed contract for works will be for a period of 4 years. The authorities are looking for several framework providers to full the requirements of this contract. The framework will aim to provide disabled facilities grant applications with contractors who have been vetted through the scheme therefore safeguarding them against incompetent contractors. Contractors who are deemed compliant through the pre qualification questionnaire will then be invited to submit a tender based on standard specifications for the different types of works, which has been drawn up and agreed across the participating authorities. Contractors will be invited to tender for different lots, with the option to bid for multiple lots if they desire. Lots will be based on the local authority areas and 2 types of work, ramps and showers: — Lot 1 - Scarborough & Ryedale. Scarborough ramps - approximate value 66 000 GBP per annum. Ryedale ramps - approximate value 58 000 GBP per annum, — Lot 2 - Scarborough & Ryedale. Scarborough showers - approximate value 320 000 GBP per annum. Ryedale showers - approximate value 109 000 GBP per annum, — Lot 3 - Selby District Council. Ramps - approximate value 24 000 GBP per annum, — Lot 4 - Selby District Council. Showers - approximate value 120 000 GBP per annum.
