The scope and purpose of the procurement: In accordance with the Act relating to the prevention of fire, explosion and accidents involving hazardous substances and the fire service (The Fire Prevention and Explosion Prevention Act) Section 9 and Section 11, the municipality is responsible for chimney sweeping and inspections of heating plants. The tender contest involves chimney sweeping services and inspections in Røyken and Hurum municipalities. The tender contest shall result in an agreement with a company that shall implement chimney sweeping services and inspections on behalf of the municipalities. There are registered approx. 11 500 chimneys that need to be swept in the 2 municipalities. Chimney sweepings and inspections in accordance with requirements may occur. The agreement shall be entered into with 1 provider that shall, on behalf of the contracting authority, carry out chimney sweeping services and inspections of heating plants in the 2 municipalities. The agreement period is 2 years with option for 1 + 1 years prolongation of the contract. The contracting reserves the right to terminate the contract earlier if, during the contract period situations occur that require premature conclusion of the contract. Examples of such situations are establishment of municipal companies, or the chimney sweepings and inspections shall be implemented by the municipalities themselves. Termination of the contract will be notified well before the measure is implemented. The procurement value is estimated to: 1 700 000 NOK excluding VAT per annum. The value must therefore be considered an estimate and is not binding. See Part 2a, requirement specifications, for further information.
