Laboratory based 3D x-ray microscope system with range of spatial resolution from 40 microns to submicron. The sample stage must be robust enough to accept samples weighing up to 15 kg and physically accommodate samples of up to 250 mm diameter. Spatial resolution less than 1 um. Spatial resolution less than1.5 um at more than50 mm working distance. Due to the sample distance from the source, dictated by the size of sample and need for at least 1800 rotation, traditional X-Ray Imaging systems are not able to achieve the resolution we require. The effect of sample size (and therefore source to sample distance) has little effect on resolution for the VersaXRM, while the resolution rapidly degrades with increasing sample sizes for the geometric magnification-based projection systems used by all other suppliers.
