The Royal Mint currently utilise the services of 2 suppliers to provide its MRO requirements one covering specific maintenance and repair requirements and the other covering the supply of spares, consumables and repairs. Since the establishment of these contracts the scope covered by each has developed in a manner that has led to an unclear structure of the services undertaken. We are now seeking to better define the services we require and are utilising the competitive procedure with negotiation to ensure that the tender process delivers a solution that meets our requirements now and into the future. We intend to enter into a contract with one supplier to deliver all of our MRO services and that supplier must be able to deliver all the services outlined in the minimum requirements.
