The City of Edinburgh Council (the Council) recognises the importance of providing residential accommodation for service users who have complex needs and behaviours that challenge, and who are under 65 years. The Council recognises the difficulties providers are faced with in finding suitable premises to accommodate this client group therefore we are seeking a viable solution which meets the needs of this care service. The accommodation solution will support around 12 clients situated within the City of Edinburgh boundaries and able to provide care and support for vulnerable men and women with a diagnosis of Alcohol Related Brain Disease, mental health problems and/or personality disorder or acquired brain injury which affects cognition. It is intended that regular assessment of individuals will assess the levels of recovery potential with a view to service users moving on to other care options, though it is recognised that some may require longer term care and support. The purpose of this notice is to test the current and future market capacity to deliver a Care and Accommodation solution for this complex service in Edinburgh.
