Neuro Muscular Tissue Typing Genetics Service.

Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust (GOSH) requires a comprehensive genetic testing service in support of the National Specialised Commissioning Team (formally National Commissioning Group ) for the Dubowitz Neuromuscular Centre (DNC) Congenital Muscular Dystrophies and Congenital Myopathies NSCT service. The DNC NSCT service is looking for a contractor to provide the genetic testing for genes causing congenital muscular dystrophies (CMD) and congenital myopathies (CM). This service will be provided by a Clinical Pathology Accredited Lab (CPA) and European Federation for Immunogenetics (EFI) accredited laboratory experience. Specifically the DNC NSCT service requires a contractor to conduct full coding region sequence analysis of known disease genes associated with CMD and CM; in selected instances RNA analysis should also be available.
