PURCH1174 University Estate Development: Cost Consultant and CDM Coordinator Services. The University of Glasgow is one of the world's leading research intensive universities. The University Strategic Plan ‘Glasgow 2020 — A Global Vision' sets out the vision of the University to enhance its position in the global higher education and research sector. To support this, the University recently acquired the 14 acres the Western Infirmary Hospital which will become available in 2016. The University is seeking proactive teams who possess relevant experience and expertise successfully delivering major regeneration and higher education masterplans, landscaping and infrastructure delivery. Whilst the primary focus of the appointment will be the expanded Gilomorehill Campus site, it may also be used for studies on the University's other sites. The service will also include the provision of building construction and whole-life cost advice to support the development of Business Cases. It is anticipated that the Cost Consultant and CDM Coordinator services may encompass the full development lifecycle (RIBA Stages 0/1-7). The delivery of the infrastructure and landscape works will be phased to suit the building delivery programme. The Cost Consultant and CDM Coordinator will be a key appointment which will remain involved in the Estate Development potentially over a10 year period.
