City of Edinburgh Council is investigating the potential scope and capacity in the market to develop and deliver a hot meals service for older people and other vulnerable adults in the City. Options may include contracting separately for meals and delivery; combined service for both and the scope for delivery of meals and additional support for service users e.g. serving the meal and preparing a drink, contacting nominated person if concerned about welfare. The Council is interested in hearing from organisations that have the potential to support this proposal and may seek to hold a workshop or other involvement to progress with options. Interested organisations should register initial interest and are invited to attend a market testing and shaping event on the morning of Thursday 15.1.2015 Request for interest will run until 15.1.2015.
