Nofima hereby gives notice that we intend to procure a tricanter from Flottweg. Nofimas pilot plant for industrial bio-processing (Biotep) in Kaldfjord is primarily set up with equipment from the manufacturer AlfaLaval. A tricanter suitable for the plant shall be procured. This must have an impeller system which can adjust the fluid level in the bowl and ‘cut-off’ between the stick water and oil while the machine is in production. This gives continuous control of the product flow and thus ensures maximum yield and purity of the fractions even if the raw material varies in nature.
