Haulage and Treatment of Road Sweeping and Gully Waste

Wigan Council is seeking a contractor for the haulage and treatment of road sweepings and gully waste. Generally, collection quantities are expected to be an average of approximately 250 tonnes per month, however this figure is indicative only and actual collection quantities may vary. The service requires the waste to be processed to achieve the highest level of recycling and recovery possible. The provider's facility will be expected to be able to accept and treat road sweeping and gully waste material and the provider's guaranteed recycling rate must meet waste data flow reporting requirements. The contract will initially run for a period of 3 years and may be extended for two further periods of 12 months each.
