Scanning laser doppler vibrometer.

The system should be based on laser-Doppler velocimetry and suitable for scanning measurements of the out of plane vibration velocity on a surface. Dynamic deformations on a grid of points on the surface of the object should be measured at a high speed and with a high resolution and accuracy. Typically such a system comprises a scanning head, HD video camera, acquisition hardware including several reference channels and acquisition software. The purchase in the current procurement will help develop and build technology platforms to further strengthen and expand the on-going vigorous research activities and the instrumental set up will be displayed and used in education as well as in industry partnerships, thus reaching a wide audience of additional users and potential future buyers.
