The Department of Contracts on behalf of the Electoral Commission is seeking to procure an Electronic Counting System (including relative hardware and equipment) to be set up, commissioned and ready for use during the European Parliament and Local Council Elections in 2019 and 2024, the General Election due in 2023 and any casual election until 2024. The voting system used in Malta for all elections in the Single Transferrable Vote (STV) using the Weighted Inclusive Gregory (WIG) system and is defined in the General Elections Act, Chapter 354 of the Laws of Malta.
