The Contracting Authority for this procurement is the Institute of Marine Research. The Institute of Marine Research needs to procure stereo microscopes with specified equipment for use in our laboratories and onboard our research vessels. The microscopes will be used in the laboratories on land and onboard vessels on missions to determine the age of fish (deep sea species) and cartilaginous fish, both directly through the microscopes and via photographing through the microscopes, followed by further data processing. The microscopes will also be used for determining species, measurements and the photography of: — the stomach content of marine mammals, — collected material from seabed mapping missions, — fish eggs, — fish larvae and fry, — parasites and plankton. The Institute of Marine Research intends to procure stereo microscopes with equipment from Ortomedic AS. The Contracting Authority will not sign a contract with a tenderer before 10 days after the notice date at the earliest.
