Tamar Bridge Kerb Unit and Deck Waterproofing Remedial Work

With the aim being to undertake work during the Spring of 2019, this preferred start date is intended to allow for all kerb fixings and corrosion remedial works to be completed, ahead of separate resurfacing work planned for 2020/21. Following close monitoring of the existing 7200 Kerb Units (4 studs per kerb unit) and the associated Deck Waterproofing System over recent years, since their initial installation, as part of the strengthening and widening scheme around the turn of the century, and following the identification of serious deterioration, a number of technical solutions were developed and tested and the preferred solution and range of activities required going forward is described as follows below in the Main Description.
