The contract includes the procurement of acoustic fish tags with and without depth sensors and listening buoys for projects at the Institute of Marine Research The equipment shall be used in connection with primary studies for the Lepeophtheirus group. We want to increase the knowledge of the salmon smolt's swimming behaviour and movements in the Norwegian fjords in relation to temperature, salinity and depth. The contract is also an investment for increasing the selection of telemetry equipment at the Institute. The Institute of Marine Research shall procure approx. 300 acoustic tags without depth sensors, and approx. 190 tags with sensors. The contract includes the delivery of approx. 100 listening buoys. The listening buoys must be compatible with the acoustic fish tags. The acoustic fish tags and listening buoys must be delivered in Tromsø, Norway, by 30.3.2018.
