The old ice surface shall be demolished and a new ice surface facing west shall be established with preparatory works for any future ice rink, and location in accordance with the current zoning plan. The artificial ice rink's ice surface is 10,690m2 and consists of a 400-meter speed skating rink, and a bandy rink inside the oval. In relation to the area of activities, a grandstand has been planned with capacity for 1,500 spectators. The artificial ice rink is planned for areas and functions in Vålerenga Stadium. Technical and heat exchanger rooms under the rinks are reused and renovated with replacement to modern process cooling and other technical plants where the goal is cost-optimal solutions with energy-efficient and environmentally friendly systems. Connections must be established for surrounding pedestrian and footpath connections.
