F 02 Upgrade & In-situ Expansion of Old Kohafa WWTP (Capacity of 20,000 m3/d)

The Scope of Works for this Contract has two Sections. Works Section 1 contains: (i) to design and construct the substantial in-situ wastewater plant of capacity 20,000 m3/d. A number of elements of the Stage 1 will be sized to facilitate the expansion of the WWTP to treat the Stage 2 and Stage 3 design capacity of 40,000 and 80,000 m3/d. Furthermore, certain treatment units and buildings shall be designed and constructed considering both the existing plants and the new plant capacity, (ii) to provide Operation and Maintenance Training for the Employer’s Staff and supervise the operation and maintenance of the WWTP during the Defects Notification Period. Works to be carried out within Section 2 is to hydraulically upgrade the existing Old Kohafa WWTP from 60,000 to 90,000 m3/d, in addition to limited rehabilitation and construction for certain units. For Works Section 1, the Contractor shall start construction phase after taking over of Works Section 1 works and complete the upgrading
