The Provision of VIP Ground Transport Services for 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 26)

The UK will host the UN COP 26 on 1 November 2021 — 12 November 2021 at The SEC in Glasgow. The Authority is seeking to engage a ground transport services provider for the movement of VIPs and other delegates around Glasgow and the wider area including Edinburgh. Specific details are estimated, the expected requirement is up to 450 vehicles and drivers over a 3 week period (although a portion of vehicles may be provided by the Authority). 210 vehicles will be luxury sedans, 210 luxury MPVs, the remainder 16-seater minibuses. Due to the high environmental standards required for this project, the supplier must provide battery electric and/or plug-in hybrid vehicles, and potentially charging infrastructure. The supplier must have experience of VIP-level service, fleet management, and complex large-scale operations. Due to the complexity of this operation, the supplier will be expected to begin the project planning process immediately after the award of the contract in early 2021.
