The role of the occupational health and welfare services provider (the service provider) is to provide the 3 Ayrshire Councils with an occupational health and welfare service that allows the participating Council to meet its statutory requirements in relation to work-related ill-health and also addresses other health related activities as identified The service provider will advise each of the 3 Ayrshire Councils regarding its obligations under the provisions of health and safety at work, etc. Act 1974; the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and other statutory provisions relevant to the Councils’ activities. The service provider will provide each of the 3 Ayrshire Councils with occupational health support in the management of employee sickness absence. The service provider will ensure that all information is maintained in a confidential manner compliant with the relevant statutes.
