Extension of Substance Misuse Open Access and Engagement (including Entry to Drug and Alcohol Services)

The service is intended for the development and provision of a new Tier 2 Open Access and Engagement (OAE) low threshold integrated substance misuse service for adults over the age of 18. The service will complement and work collaboratively as part of a wider consortium to support the single assessment Entry to Drug and Alcohol Service (EDAS). Partnerships will be built with the Integrated Family Support Service (IFSS), The Throughcare, Aftercare and Recovery Support (TARS) service, and other third sector organizations inclusive of, but not limited to, domestic abuse agencies, sex worker programmes, Housing Support, Benefits advice agencies, employment services, and criminal justice support. Due to Covid-19 and other factors there has been a delay in the planned recommissioning timeline. The Health Board have agreed to extend existing services to 31 March 2022 to allow the full recommissioning Tender to be completed.
