Orkney Islands Council has a requirement for land-use planning and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) support for the development of a number of onshore wind farm schemes on the Orkney Islands. This first stage procurement process seeks to pre-qualify a short list of suitable consultancies with the experience and capabilities to undertake an EIA, manage scheme design, undertake wind resource assessment and coordinate and submit an application for planning approval for 1 or more sites under the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (the TCPA).
