NHS Digital on behalf of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care is embarking on a project to establish a data architecture capability within NHS Digital, access to which will be made available to the wider NHS and social care system. This data architecture capability will be defined as a Centre for Enablement (C4E) which will provide insight to allow health and social care organisations to create a seamless exchange of medical and patient data across the health and care system.
