Birmingham and Solihull Youth Promise Plus (YPP) is a significant project which aims to create continuous person-centred support for young people aged 15-29 years as part of a seamless progression into education, or training or sustainable employment. In its first phase between April 2016 and July 2018, the YPP project supported around 13 000 young people assisting over 4 200 of these participants into positive education, training or employment outcomes. The Council and its YPP partners are now commencing an extended phase of project delivery which will run up to October 2021, and as part of this, the Council is now seeking to commission the delivery of P0607 specialist wrap around service for young people with mental health support needs. The contract will commence in April 2020 for a period of 18 months with formal reviews every six months, and an option to extend for up to 6 months subject to performance and funding availability.
