The tender contest concerns the delivery of an instrument that makes it possible to quantify the metabolism of living cells in real time. We want to measure the cells' consumption of oxygen, which provides a measure of the degree of mitochondrial respiration, and to measure lactate excretion (pH change) that reflects the cells' use of glycolysis. We want to analyse several different cell types simultaneously and / or treat the cells with different compounds to measure the effects of the different treatments. We shall use the instrument to map in detail e.g. mitochondrial respiration or inject chemicals that may have an effect on mitochondrial function or glycolysis and investigate at the cells' response thereof. The value of the procurement is estimated to NOK 2,700,000 excluding VAT. The contracting authority has a limited budget for the procurement. The contracting authority reserves the right to cancel the tender contest if the tenders exceed the budget. See the procurement documents for further information.
