The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development has commissioned the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH to implement the project "Environmental and social standards in the textile and clothing industry in Ethiopia". The project is co-financed by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCDO) which means that the requirements of both institutions must be met. The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the economic, social and ecological sustainability of the Ethiopian textile and garment industry. In this context, GIZ is seeking to commission a contractor that provides a pool of short-term experts which is expected to provide specialised advisory services in the following areas of expertise (1) Industrial Park Management, (2) Labour Markets and Social Sustainability, (3) Environmental Sustainability, (4) Business Linkages and Domestic Value Chain Development.
