Procurement of chemicals for Hias IKS' sewage treatment plant.

The contracting authority for this procurement is the Hias IKS. Hias IKS is an inter-municipal company that owns facilities and provides water and sewage services for the owner municipalities of Hamar, Løten, Ringsaker and Stange. Further information on the entity is available at www.hias.no. Hias' sewage treatment plant is located in Ottestad in Stange municipality and treats approx. 8 million m3 of wastewater from approx. 130,000 person equivalents. The purification processes consist of mechanical, biological and chemical purification stages. Furthermore, thermal hydrolysis and anaerobe stabilisation of the sludge is carried out in accordance with the Cambi method. The sewage treatment plant mainly uses chemicals for treating sewage water and for dewatering sludge, in addition to using chemicals in the odour treatment processes, something which is not requested in this contest.
