REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Columns used in pediatric ABO-incompatible heart transplants to remove blood group antibodies from the recipient's circulati…

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION This document is a request for information, not a procurement notice or a request for tender. With this request for information, HUS launches a market consultation to prepare a procurement. The aim of this prior information notice is to find suppliers operating in this field of business, get information of the solutions available in the market, and inform our plans and requirements for the forthcoming procurement. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVE OF THE PROCUREMENT The subject of procurement are filters/columns in pediatric ABO-incompatible heart transplants to remove blood group antibodies from the recipient's circulation during perfusion and surgery. This enables intraoperative antibody removal during heart transplantation across ABO blood groups. Therefore, preoperative plasma exchange is not required. In this treatment option ABO antibody filter can be seamlessly integrated into the perfusion system, allowing for the removal of antibodies without the need for preoperative plasma exchange. This approach eliminates the requirement for a separate dialysis catheter, simplifying the procedure for the patient. The product must be compatible with perfusion and plasmapheresis devices available on the market. INSTRUCTIONS FOR ANSWERING The purpose of this request is to identify suppliers operating in the field and to gather information about solutions available on the market. You may attach brochures to your response, if available. Registration for the market dialogue, product information, and contact details must be submitted no later than 4th November 2025 as attachments to the following email address: kilpailutus.aneteho@hus.fi. The title or message field of the e-mail should mention: ABO Antibody Removal Solution used in pediatric ABO-incompatible heart transplants INFORMATION FOR THE PROCEDURE HUS may specify the subject of the procurement in a subsequent contract notice. The requirements for a subsequent procurement and invitation to tender will be determined on the basis of the needs of the contracting entity, with the aim of taking into account the information obtained in the market survey. The request for information does not oblige the procurement unit to carry out the actual procurement, but the decision to initiate a possible procurement process is made separately. Neither the request for information nor its replies are binding on either party. Responding to a request for information does not affect the position of the tenderer in the forthcoming tender. The costs associated with responding to a request for information are borne by the respondent, and HUS does not pay compensation for responding to a request for information or participating the procurement procedure.
