The aim of the procurement is to have operator for the operation of the express boat routes between Bergen, Nordfjord, Sogn/Flåm, referred to as "Route package 1". See the contract document for requirements for operation in chapter 2, requirements for the vessels in chapter 3, route production requirements in chapter 4 and climate requirements in chapter 5. All routes shall be included in an operational contract. This means that the Contracting Authority will enter into a contract with one operator for the total contract. The contract will apply from the time of signing until 2 November 2042, cf. Point 1.1.5 of the contract. The operational start of the routes shall be from 01.11.2027. The contract will be a net contract, where the awarded operator is responsible for income, including, among other things, responsibility for route information, marketing and customer information. See the Contract ́s point 1.2.2 for further information on distribution of responsibility. The contracting authority estimates annual contract costs for the Contracting Authority to approx. NOK 76.5- 121 million, excluding climate bonus. In addition, the Contracting Authority estimates costs related to grid upgrade to NOK 11.5 - 16 million, subsequent to support deductions. This estimate does not include the contract ́s amendment rights, for example the Contracting Authority ́s right to increase the timetable production, the right to require the insertion of larger and/or extra vessels, as well as other amendment rights. The estimated value is given in NOK as per third quarter of 2021.
