Metropolitan Area Network

The network connectivity between the different EPO buildings in Munich is provided through dark fibre connections from each building to the Isar building and to the Pschorrhöfe BT7 building. As with the inter-building connections, each connection between the buildings in Munich is duplicated for technical security of the network services. Together, all these connections form the Metropolitan Area Network for the EPO Office in Munich. The EPO is looking to renew the existing MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) links. The services shall be provided from 01.01.2026. They will not be paid for from any earlier date, even if installation is completed in advance of the deadline stated in the procurement documents."
